i think drew carrey is a great replacement for bob. he's nothing like bob, and they don't need someone who's going to try to be bob. drew is as silly as the show. might be fun. but i also don't watch the price is right anymore. i'm not cool enough for tivo.
I'm with Otter on this one. My thought was the same as yours; as long as it wasn't Rosie O'Donnell...
I'm just not sure we are all thinking of the same Drew Carey. Personally, I would have preferred George Hamilton. Either keep it going with the silver foxes or change the whole show including format.
I don't hate the idea of Drew Carey, but nor do I love it. I was hoping for George Hamilton, myself, but maybe they were looking for someone who has more mileage in front of them(???). Really, it doesn't matter too much to me as I never watch the show... the wife and several friends are the ones who are psychotic fans. :)
Has anyone else ever noticed that Drew Carrey and Rosie O'Donnell are never seen at the same place at the same time?...think about it...
PAT SAGACK (sp)..........He's already got 20 years of biult in fan base and experience.
While I think Pat Sajak would be good for the show (he is mid-America friendly), he can't possibly leave Wheel because: a. we don't need to get into another host replacement mess.b. he hugs his contestants too firmly, and that would be unbearable for the little old ladies. (He doesn't need more lawsuits.) c. he's a one-woman man. Vanna's not about to become one of Sajak's Sexpots. So I guess we're stuck with Drew Carey, my hometown hero.
good point(s) :)
actually, I think Meghan would be a perfect host. Seriously, I've discussed this with Angela.
Personally, I think this show should end with Bob. It's had it's day.
I'd be happy to take over. Then we could have late night Plinko parties. I assume this would make me ineligible as a Jeopardy contestant so until I get on Jeopardy, I can't host The Price is Right. Immediately after that, come on down!
Well, the current plan is to get you on Jeopardy where you would stay for along time, going down in history as the longest, most successful contestant in Jeapordy history, becoming a question/answer on future shows... there you would get noticed and offered the job for Price Is Right. Makes sense to me.
That seems like a reasonable plan. Thanks for your vote of confidence. I had better start studying.
I have no idea who he is but I know he's from Ohio. That makes him suspect in my book...
