THE ONLY 2 COMICS I BOUGHT THIS WEEK

PHOTOGRAPHER RECREATES FAMOUS PORTRAITS WITH JOHN MALKOVICH AS HIS MODEL

Renowned photographer Sandro Miller has worked together with legendary Hollywood A-Lister John Malkovich many times, but when Miller wanted to celebrate the photography greats that had inspired and guided him, he had to do something special. So he, with Malkovich as his dashing unisex model, recreated some of those influential photographers’ most important portraits in a photo series called “Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich: Homage to photographic masters.”
The series puts both Miller’s exceptional photography and Malkovich’s masterful acting talents front and center. Miller gets each amazing portrait’s lighting, mood and composition down perfectly, while Malkovich replicates the subject’s emotions and expressions so perfectly that the photos become nearly indistinguishable, regardless of the age or gender of the original subject. And it was all done without Photoshop!

NECA ALBINO ALIEN - YAY, NO TONGUE!

Neca finally released a photo of what their upcoming "ALBINO DRONE" will look like while in-package. I was worried that super long tongue was going to be in its mouth while on display. Now that I know it won't be, I can pre-order this stupid looking figure!

EVOLUTION

ALICE COOPER & GENE WILDER

Alice Cooper posted about Gene Wilder's passing:
I count working with GeneWilder on his TV sitcom SOMETHINGWILDER to be one of the most precious memories of my entire career. Doing "one on one" comedy with Gene was like jamming with The Beatles. It doesn't get any better. Gene Wilder is IRREPLACEABLE and will always be an American treasure.

GENE WILDER PASSED AWAY

With a heavy, wrenched heart I post the news that beloved GENE WILDER has passed away, at the age of 83. I cannot think of another comedic treasure who has made me laugh more than Gene Wilder.

The movie list goes on and on....'Stir Crazy',  'Blazing Saddles', 'The Producers',  'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory', 'History of the World Part I', (... I even loved him in 'Haunted Honeymoon' and 'See No Evil, Hear No Evil'... ) and of course my favorite, 'Young Frankenstein' (which I watch every Halloween).

To say he was a comedic genius is an understatement, to be sure.

A lifetime of laughs spanning generations.

Thank you, Mr Wilder!
