Aliens is still a great movie, what makes it so good was Cameron cared about the original movie to do it as much justice as possible but also make his own movie. Alien still has the slicker look to it but Aliens has a grittier action fell that I think works well, I heard Cameron saved money by deciding to shoot in widescreen instead of Cinemascope,the film doesn't really suffer for this as it has more of a hand held feel anyway.
The FX work bt Robert and Dennis Skotak and team is for the most part still great,and Stan Winston's Queen Alien still rocks !!
