TOKYOPOP will soon be releasing a new Manga comic based off of the movie Labyrinth, entitled "RETURN TO LABYRINTH" The story picks up with the Goblin King keeping a watchful eye on Toby: His minions secretly guiding and protecting the child. Legions of goblins are working behind the scenes to ensure that Toby has whatever his heart desires. Preparing him for the day when he will return to the Labyrinth and take his rightful place beside Jareth as the heir to the Goblin Kingdom. That day has come … but no one has told Toby.
Also look for The Jim Henson Fantasy Collection which is coming out on September 5th. The box set will feature the DVD’s Labyrinth, Dark Crystal and Mirror Mask plus previews of both the Return to Labyrinth and the all-new Legends of the Dark Crystal manga, which will premiere in early 2007.

Some Manga is really good.
Don't judge an entire form of media based on a handful of cheaply made imported cartoons brought to the U.S.
That would be like other countries judging American Television based on Full House, Small Wonder and She's The Sheriff.
Don't forget: Transformers and Voltron were Manga, too, albeit 80s Manga.
and yes, I know MANGA refers to the comics and ANIME is the animation...but most people (American) tend not to differentiate the two, especially those who bash it without having much experience reading/watching either.
Let me rephrase...the manga version of Labyrinth pales in comparison to Brian Froud's original design. It just feels like it's been neutered aesthetically.
I think that manga is beautiful though...just don't be gettin' all up in my Brian Froud though...ya he-uh?!!!
