VILLAIN OF THE DAY: GENERAL ZOD !

Today's "Villain of the Day" is GENERAL ZOD!
"So this is Planet Houston."

Zod is the master of all he surveys.
So was he yesterday. And the day before.
Kneel before Zod!!!

Zod
is a pathologically arrogant aristocrat, almost bored with his incredible power. Once an original member of the Krypton Military and entrusted with the defense of Krypton by the governing council, Zod (with co-conspirators Non and Ursa) planned to overthrow the Kryptonian government and replace it with his own. The three were captured, and the council unanimously agreed to cast Zod, Ursa, and Non into the Phantom Zone. Before they were imprisoned, Zod tried to persuade Jor-El to join him or suffer his wrath. As Jor-El silently refused him, Zod shouted "You will bow down before me Jor-El, I swear it! No matter if it takes an eternity, you will bow down before me! Both you, and then one day, your heirs!" Their Phantom Zone portal was launched into space shortly before Krypton's destruction.

Foolish Jor-El saved FOUR beings that day! He should have have the kryptonian gonads to kill Lord Zod when we had the chance! Because later, Zod and Crew were released from their Phantom Zone imprisonment and set their conquering eyes on Earth! When the President of the United States surrendered to the three criminals; he uttered a pathetic prayer to 'God'; at which point he was corrected by the general with a curt rejoinder of "Zod". And when the last son of Krypton, Kal-El (aka Superman, the foolish "hero" of the soft weak humans), finally submitted to the Mighty Zod's Superior Power, oh what a mighty sight it was. "Come, Son of Jor-El! Kneel before Zod!"
Zod is a badass mofo.

"I am General Zod. Your ruler. Yes, today begins a new order. Your lands, your possessions, your very lives, will gladly be given in tribute to me, General Zod! In return for your obedience you will enjoy my generous protection. In other words you will be allowed to live."

*Zod was brilliantly portrayed by Terrence Stamp in Superman and Superman II. He needs to come back and play an older Zod once again. Are you listening Bryan Singer?!!!
