The Iron Man and action stuff looks great. However, I'm not loving Downey's take on Stark. I think it will work for the movie, but as a fan, its just not the Tony Stark I've always seen in the comic. Regardless, I'm getting excited for this movie. Thoughts?

Not being a huge fan of superhero comics and the mythos etc... surrounding characters and events, I tend to take this movies more at face value.I'm one of the few people I know who actually thought Fantastic Four was good fun.I really like what I've seen of Iron Man so far, the suits look great and Downey Jr looks like he could be fab as Tony Stark, better than Tom Cruise at least who was rumored a few years back.
I'm the same as Andrew, don't know anything about the comics but ( pardon the language) that looks FUCKING AWESOME! I am genuinely excited
yeah, I think it looks awesome! I'm actually not smashing this one... my DowneyJr/Stark comment was merely bringing up the comic version vs movie version. Also, after watching it again, I think he's bringing in a bit of the Ultimates Tony Stark stylings. Anyway, it looks good and much better than most previous Marvel movies so far.
Alright, I'm off to the UK to smack Andrew for liking the FF movie! hahaha

I think the charactor fits in with the whole civil war version of Stark. But, for those of who have been reading said comic books since 1974, we cringe.
My only worry - that we've seen all the good parts already.
