STOP REMAKING CLASSICS, ASSHOLES ! !

Jesus Christ In A Dress! And the remake wave of poop just keeps on hammering away at the shores of tolerance! Apparently 20th Century Fox is making a remake of THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW (blasphemy!!!).

Ok, every year for the past 31 years, theaters around the world are PACKED full of fans to not only watch the classic film, but to participate with by dressing up as the various characters. Does that tell you there's a void out there and a desire to see this film REMADE? I don't think so. I think its tells us the original is fucking just fine and nobody wants to see another. I think it also tells us just how badly Hollywood has been infiltrated with unimaginitive douchebags who don't have a fucking clue about anything. It gets better - they have offered the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter to Marilyn Manson.

Honestly, I can't even get past the remake news part to comment on the casting choice. I was considering doing a post on what movies should never be remade. But screw that! Some hollywood exec will just print out the JimSmash page and make them all. It wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened. Remember, JimSmash can be used for both GOOD and EVIL, folks.

They're talking about a remake of Frank Oz's 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' from 1988 which starred Steve Martin and Michael Caine. Whyyyyyyyyyy !!!!!!?????

Not sure, I think Marilyn could be cool for the role, and I think at least two generations of filmgoers missed out on the Rocky Experience, so it might be time...

If you missed out on it,..THEN GO TO ONE OF THE UMPTEEN HUNDRED THEATRES NEAR YOU AND GO SEE IT!!!!!!! this is like the dumb-ass idea of when the kept doing "more" Woodstocks, bc This or that generation anted to experience it. Guess what, you can't. That's why it's called an EXPERIENCE!. You can't capture that kind of excitement by re-making something. and for what ever reason, people don't get that. I'm not a huge fan of Rocky Horror, but I know the history of it, and I appreciate it for how it changed midnight movies. Lets re-make ET, bc there are a lot of kids today that didn't get to experience it when it came out,..or how about JAWs?? That generated a lot of buzz that summer. Let's re-make that so kids today can experience that kind of fright. yea,..brillianmt idea. CREATE YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE. thats what makes generations different and unique. we can all look back and say "remember that?". The problem is that today, no-one has any imagination, or innovation to do something new and creative. So, they look to the past and say, "that looked cool, I wanna do that!" and try to re-live something that you just can't. The Rocky Horror wasn't just "a film". if you watch it as a film, it sucks, that's why it was pushed to midnight showings in the first place. It's an experience you can't duplicate, no matter how hard you want to.....STOP WITH THE RE-MAKES!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they may be in talks to bring the musical version of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (still running on Broadway) to the silver screen... I may be wrong.
