Here's the cover to STAR WARS: LEGACY #7. It depicts Jedi Spirit Luke in traditional Jedi Robes. SW fans being SW fans, the reaction is split. Click on image to enlarge.

I had to think about it for a bit. Yes I am a big nerd. I came to the conclusion that I like it. Only because it is "Jedi Spirit" as you put it. The end of Return of the Jedi depicts Anakin, Yoda and Obi-Wan all in Jedi robes. Why wouldn't Luke be any different? It is also a nice full circle of boy-to-Jedi Knight. The first time we ever saw a Jedi Knight was the old Obi-Wan Kenobi and this ties it together quite nicely, I think.
I do not understand all the negative votes for this. It's not like he was in the movie in the outfit. He is a Jedi Spirit wearing a Jedi uniform. What's the big deal? Star Wars fans are so sensitive and picky and bitch and moan about the most minute details. I thought Trekkies were bad!
The comic in question is STAR WARS: LEGACY which takes place over 100 years after Return of the Jedi. So yes, Luke is dead at that point and more powerful than you can imagine... :)

I'm confused. Is that a comic cover? Does luke die young or something? Was it in a plane crash on his way to LA in a stormy night?

:)
Am I missing something - did Luke die young? His spirit looks in his 30's at the latest... and he's got a 'John Travolta' look to his face.
I'm ok with it, but I don't know enough about it to say any more.
if the artist made luke look older, then it would have been more successful.
