Tim Hildebrandt passed away today from complications due to diabeties.He was 67.
Working with his brother Greg for over 47 years, the two were known as "The Hildebrandt Brothers" and painted some of the most striking fantasy/sci-fi images known to geeks, nerds, dorks and orcs. Their 1977 Star Wars Painting is one of their most famous images, but they also did paintings of Tolkien, comics and card games (Magic, etc).
The Fantasy World has just lost one of it's greats.
