Today's "Hero of the Day" goes to a collie named "LASSIE" in Indiana. Lassie's home was on fire and she woke up her family enabling them to barely escape the burning home. Unfortunately, Lassie did not make it out. I know! SAD!!! But she was a hero and gave her life so others might live. Captain America would be proud. Rest in peace, Lassie! You're my hero of the day!!!!(story)
