NIN YEAR ZERO..... THE SERIES

Whoa.... Trent Reznor's latest NINE INCH NAILS [concept] album, "YEAR ZERO", is set to be adapted into a television series. "Year Zero" is set in a totalitarian future America ruled by a right-wing religious dictatorship. The populace is plagued by mysterious visions, the country's drinking water might be drugged and global catastrophe is near. (link)

Hmmm, interesting news. Although bringing that concept to the screen was somewhat done recently with V FOR VENDETTA. I'll check this out if it ever goes all the way to being made. Although I've found his last 2 albums undesirable... which is something to be said because I didn't dig THE FRAGILE that much either. Regardless, I love Trent Reznor and am thankful he continues to create.

To be fair, this is WAY early news. He's pitching the show around, which was originally going to be a movie.
Chances are slim of this getting through before the sequel album is released.

"Sequel album"???
Do you mean SEQUEL-sequel, or follow-up album? elaborate, man! hehe

Mr. Reznor has spoken in interviews (Kerrang! maybe?) that he envisioned the Year Zero concept as a trilogy.
But for a man whose track record has an album come out every 5 years, I'm skeptical this will follow through. Especially considering the albums lackluster sales.
I'd be pretty psyched to see a "Year One" at ay rate.
