V FOR VENDETTA

Here's a "new" poster for the upcoming movie adaptation of
Alan Moore's "V FOR VENDETTA."
Pretty cool. Click on it to enlarge.
V For Vendetta is set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain and tells the story of a mild-mannered young woman named Evey who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked vigilante known only as “V.” Incomparably charismatic and ferociously skilled in the art of combat and deception, V ignites a revolution when he detonates two London landmarks and takes over the government-controlled airwaves, urging his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression. As Evey uncovers the truth about V’s mysterious background, she also discovers the truth about herself – and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plot to bring freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption.

Natalie Portman (prrrrr) plays Evey - complete with shaved head!Like I said, its based off of Alan Moore's brilliant comic.... its adapted to film by the Wachowski Brothers and also co-produced by Joel Silver/The Wachowski Bros. Cool....but we saw what happened when another of Moore's masterpieces was adapted to the Silver Screen: "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" Ugggghhhhhh
So who knows. Seriously, how can you start off with something that's just about perfect and pervert it SO much into an abysmal turd like that? Takes some crazy whack talent to do that!

Plus, I heard Alan Moore asked that his name be removed from the film. But that's also a classic Moore move. *shrug*

Hmmm, maybe you should just go read the original graphic novel instead to be safe.
Order here.
yeah, I know you won't. But I still have to put the info out to ya.

In fact, do yourself a favor and pick up Alan Moore's Graphic Novel "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen." Its NOTHING like that crappy movie! Its a really great story.
Go here for that.
