Check out these shoes - they are made specifically for sneaking across the border (no, not from Canada silly, from Mexico).

They are outfitted with a compass and flashlight which dangle from one shoelace. The pocket in the tongue is for money or pain relievers. A rough map of the border region is printed on a removable insole. They're red, white and green - the colors of the Mexican flag. On the back side, a drawing of Mexico's patron saint of migrants.

Their name? "Brinco", which is spanish for "jump."
They cost $215 in San Diego, but the designer is giving them away to migrants before they cross to the US.
