JimSmash Reader SUSAN B. sent in someone's photoshopped pic of JAMIE ALEXANDER (Sif in 'Thor') as WONDER WOMAN, with an apparent quote from Ms Alexander regarding Wonder Woman:

They tried to reboot Wonder Woman, which was a huge embarrassment if you ask me. Adrianne Palicki’s great, but you can’t take someone – no matter how talented – and put them in a trashy costume, then say they’re supposed to be a positive role model for women. I don’t think she got into it thinking that’s what they’re going to do, and I think she played her hand as well as she could, but that project was just not the way to go.

I’ve actually been approached a couple of times about it. I think right now, my loyalty is to Marvel. But yes, I’d love to play more characters like Sif: keep the young girls of the world safe from slutty costumes and poorly written scripts!

Ya know, I don't hate it.....

NEW COBRA COMMANDER - CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR - UPDATED!

Above is a promo image for GIJOE 2: Retaliation. They finally realized how fucking stupid Cobra Commander looked in the previous movie. This is a welcomed improvement, but they still managed to get it wrong.

Cobra Commander should be in BLUES... the Black & Red makes him look like a servant to DESTRO. And where are the Cobra Chest Emblems? How hard is it to just make the fucking toy/comic line into a movie? All the costume R&D was done 30 years ago for crying outloud.

Here, I made some adjustments which puts it a little closer to how I'd want them to look...manipulating what I have to work with, that is:

ALIENS: GENOCIDE 2-PACK

NECA's next set of ALIENS figures will be based on the Dark Horse mini-series "GENOCIDE". In the story, another rival hive springs up and the two hives battle it out for domination. The new hive gives birth to Aliens with a RED tint, along the lines of ants. Its silly and narrows down the concept of the Aliens, but it was a fun series and its neat they're making toys based on it. The 9-inch figures will be available in June (hey my birthday is in June!)

There will be a total of THREE 2-packs... the 2nd set will be Hick with Blue Alien (with head explosion) and the 3rd set will be Hudson with Brown Alien (with shot up torso). I assume those are the figures I posted about earlier HERE.

I get the red alien since its based on the comic. But why the Blue and Brown? Personally I'd much rather have black ones as they should be. This just means I'll have to paint them.

*(I also don't like the battle damage versions - they look lame)

* ALIENS: NIGHTMARE ASYLUM (set immediately after 'Earth Hive')
* ALIENS: LABYRINTH

Note: Earth Hive and Nightmare Asylum SHOULD have been 'ALIEN 3'. They are based on the Dark Horse Comics, which were published before 'Alien3' was made. After 'Alien3' was released, FOX made Dark Horse change the names of the characters since FOX had killed off Newt & Hicks. Jerks. So in the novels you'll have to mentally translate the names: Billie = Newt, Wilkes = Hicks. Lame.
