HE-MAN AND THE POWER SWORD
SiMo Sol has The Power!!!!
Here's his finished piece and it is amazing!
He posts:
IT IS DONE - AT LAST! I am proud to present the completed painting "He-Man and the Power Sword" - my hommage to Alfredo Alcala's Artwork on the very first He-Man minicomic cover (have a look at it right here: http://www.he-man.org/assets/images/collect_toy/ 01_full.jpg)! This is my conversation into a huge classic oil painting on canvas at a mighty 100 x 120 cm size (about 39,5 x 47,3 inches). Thanks to all supporters, and very special thanx to the forum members of planeteternia.de and to my friends Björn Korthof and the members of Grayskull Con Germany!
'THE LONE RANGER' RADIO SHOW
'THE LONE RANGER' radio show debuted on January 30, 1933.
It went on for a whopping 2,956 episodes!
* some say January 31
"In the early days of the western United States, a masked man and an Indian rode the plains, searching for truth and justice. Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear, when from out of the past come the thundering hoofbeats of the great horse Silver! The Lone Ranger rides again!"
The radio series inspired a spinoff called The Green Hornet, which depicts the son of the Lone Ranger's nephew Dan, Britt Reid.

CASTING COUCH: HAN SOLO / INDIANA JONES
Disney is going to make a HAN SOLO movie, probably sooner than later. So who do you cast? Recasting Harrison Ford is an improbable task, if you ask me.
So, what about ANTHONY INGRUBER?
Here's some Harrison Ford impressions by Ingruber:
I'd also like to throw out there that whoever is cast as Young Han Solo must also be cast as Young Indiana Jones. It just makes sense because Reasons.
Other actors' names that I heard being thrown around are:
CHRIS PRATT:
BRADLEY COOPER:
Thoughts?
Hey, the casting could be worse...
* In searching for images, I discovered the facebook page Anthony Ingruber for Han Solo in the new STAR WARS spin-off

DOCTOR DIO
There was always something familiar about Doctor Who, and I think I've finally figured it out - Doctor Who looks like an 80s DIO music video.

KISS VS MOMOIRO CLOVER Z
BABYMETAL is one of my favorite new bands. They combine J-Pop with Death Metal and have really fun stage show performances. Here's some footage from their live concert DVD "LEGEND" (which is awesome):
I also love KISS. Well, KISS has jumped on the trend bandwagon (its their superpower) and teamed up with J-Pop group Momorio Clover Z for a new single:
I really want to love this. But... its just not gelling the way it should. Maybe its the vocals.... maybe it needs more energetic range? Its fun and catchy, but on paper it seems like they should have hit it out of the park more. Perhaps more KISS in the mix, instead of them sounding like a back-up band. However, with that said, I wouldn't mind seeing more of this collaboration team-up.

UPDATE: Here's a varation of the song, "SAMURAI SON", which sports Paul Stanley vocals
UPDATE 2: Well, after several listenings over the week, the song (Z vocals) has grown on me even more. My initial reaction review stands, but now I'm giving it an overall thumbs-up of approval.... I might actually buy the song when its released tomorrow on iTunes. Don't judge.

JESSICA CHASTAIN AS CAPTAIN MARVEL ?
There were rumors circulating that JESSICA CHASTAIN was being considered for the role of CAPTAIN MARVEL (Carol Danvers). Those rumors have since been dismissed, I believe, but I wouldn't mind if she was cast. I just really hope its not Katiee Sackhoff.
