YET ANOTHER SPIDER-MAN COSTUME CHANGE

Oh goodie, SPIDER-MAN is getting yet another costume.... which makes sense I suppose since its been quite some time since his last costume change; 2006 with the "Iron Spider-Man" (2007 if you count his brief return to the Black Costume). I'm sure it will be temporary, but the gimmick has grown tiresome.

However, the changes come with oncoming new regular (and sole) writer DAN SLOTT who I really enjoy. Add some Ramos art in the mix... could be fun!

A brief look at his costume changes over the years:

I think this is by far the worst Spidey costume redesign. Did Marvel learn nothing from the latest Wonder Woman costume change?

i have actually enjoyed the black costume, the scarlet spider, Iron spidey, i'll see how this goes, then judge, might prove to be interesting.

Is it just me? Should they just leave his costume alone? None of those other designs ever looked good.
Venom is ok because we got a cool villain out of the deal...but the rest...BAH!!!!

I loved the Black Costume Saga (the first time around)... some of the Scarlet Spider (Clone Saga simply went on far too long)... and even the Iron Spidey stuff... I'm not saying it will suck, but merely voicing my opinion that the constant costume changing is becoming tiresome. I'd much prefer new, original ideas.

So, over the years, what exactly happened to Spidey's ankles? Is shrinking ankles some weird, delayed side-effect of the original radioactive spider bite?

Yea, The run with his black costume was one of my favorites. (I always knew he would go back so i was pleasantly surprised how it turned out) The story was a great arc. Hobgoblin was an awesome villain,( before they completely ruined him during inferno....and rec-conned him as to NOT be NED LEEDS,...seriously,..why did they change that,..why? ). It was the moment when Peter and Mary Jane became close ( screw you Jo Q,..seriously screw you..) It introduced Puma ( who was a rich, powerful CEO not the goon he is now portrayed as..) and the Crime syndicates Spidey had thwarted (KingPin, the introduction of the ROSE, ect....). Harry Osborn was dealing with his father's legacy, Spidey and Felicia were in full tilt ( and her weird obsession with 'Spider-Man', NOT Parker,. )the unraveling of the mystery behind the Alien Costume ( it was a SYMBIOTE,..not a friggin Parasite ...jeezzzusss..oh yea, and thanks for rec-conning THAT encounter with the FF also with the latest FF/Spidey series....F.U.) and The "redemption" of Who he was....
-It actually delt with his powers, personality, Intelligence, and social life. It 'GOT' Peter Parker trying to balance being Spider Man and a Civilian.

-I seriously WISH they would put out those books in Trade. Seriously, we can get the lame ass Clone saga, the horrible Gwen Stacey as a whore run and everything before and after,.... but not this? WTF?????

-Now the others,..i can't support, bc they were very lame.......

Eh. I love and will cherish childhood memories of Secret Wars and the black costume, but I am hardline red N blue 4 Lyfe. Spidey is to Marvel like Batman or Superman is to DC in my opinion. Some things shouldn't change. Romita Sr. with web pits and Wieringo Spidey will always be my faves.

Dan Slott's 1st issue as sole regular writer is Amazing Spider-Mab #648, on sale Nov 3. I think there will be 2 rotating artists; Humberto Ramos is 1st up. Sorry, I don't recall who the other artist is, off the topof my head.
