Yay! My 10" ANIMATED BOSSK MAQUETTE arrived last night! I saw this at the San Diego Comic Con this year and knew I had to own it. It's a Star Wars Celebration V exclusive, but I was able to preorder it through Gentle Giant Ltd's Membership Club. It's freakin' awwesome!*blue pics via RebelScum.

I don't know much about Bossk's "expanded universe" backstory, but I've always thought it looks like he's wearing an X-Wing pilot's uniform. Not sure if anyone's ever explained this.
That statue's pretty sweet, but I think I'm saving my dough for the Bowen Designs Beta Ray Bill.

I think you might be reading to the design of his suit too much, though I do agree his is definitely has the features of a flight suit and if you're going to be a bounty hunter in the Star Wars universe I would imagine you need a ship.
I do not acknowledge that thing you refer to as " the expanded Universe.."
