HOLY MOLEY!

The 1953 WAR OF THE WORLDS is playing tonight at the local Indy theater down the road!!!

I'm there.

Tell me if you can see the wires on the Martian Machines ! I've heard that at the cinema they're pretty hard to spot !

Sorry, I didn't make it to the theater. :(

1)I couldn't find anyone to go with.... which didn't really stop me, but took the fun out of the sails a bit.

2)I didn't get out of work until late, which would have had me racing to the theater.

Oh well.
They are playing KING KONG (1933) and CONAN THE BARBARIAN later in the week!!!!

Pity !! People always go on about the wire's on the War Machines,but that really is a product of TV being brighter,at the cinema when War of the Worlds was made they were running Carbon Arc lamps which weren't as bright as today's Xenon bulbs projectors have,plus mix that with the grain of the film and they said the wire's were really hard to spot.

King Kong is great at the cinema,I projected that around 7 years ago when I used to be Senior Projectionist at my local cinema,it was the best film we showed that week !! Conan is great too !
