I haven't seen this yet,but one thing I heard from a few people is Natalie Portman turns in a performance so bad it makes her acting as Padme in the Star Wars prequels seem Oscar worthy !!

Nah!!
I thought she redeemed herself from the dreaded padme embarrassment.

She starts off stumbling, but by 15min in, she's golden.

But I love her, so I could be blinded by lust.

I don't mind the lust part of her,I just never thought she was a very good actress ! There were rumours that she so much wanted not to be in Episode 3 that Lucas considered replacing her with Keira Knightly, who funnily enough played her handmaiden/decoy in The Phantom Menace !

she can be good when she wants to be. Professional was great, but she was a kid then. I really liked her in V. Give it whirl.

Portman turns in a brilliant preformance in this film, especially the 6 frames of her rolling off a bed dressed like a little girl.
Makes me want to watch Closer again. With mute on and the fast forward button within easy reach, I really ENJOY Portman.
...and that's all I have to say about that.
