NAIL BITE

I was introduced to the Metal band NAIL BITE a couple months ago and immediately became a fan! 

From their bio:

Nail Bite is a metal band known for their diverse range of influences from other genres—they have been referred to as “avante-garde metal” as their mix of wildly different genres like EDM, trap, pop, world music, goth, weirdcore, swing, and more is combined with the intensity of heavy metal.

Nail Bite mixes singing, screaming, and death metal growling vocals with an array of sound that switches between brutally heavy and addictively catchy melodies.

When Lonna was just 14 years old she was named one of the top up and coming Metal vocalist by Danny Wimmer Presents, Blackcraft, Shannon Gunz from Sirius XM Radio and more! Nail Bite was also named the top unsigned band not only in the US but 6 other countries as well in 2022 and 2023! This video was part of the DWP live stream from Louder than life when they opened for Evanescence.

 

 This live in studio performance was my first exposure to them. I love Lonna' vocals here... the "distortion" adds an extra layer which I dig:

As their bio says, their sound is diverse. At times, Lonna's voice has an eerie harmonic akin to Layne Stanley (Alice in Chains). I'd love to hear them cover "Would?"
