Ok, so pardon my naïveté, but who drew (copied Batman) Moon knight and do you mind if I link this to my art history lesson when I talk about homage vs plagerised?
you seriously think this is stolen?!?! um, ok, then that makes Nolan's Batman suit to be the same, as it holds similarities.
i mean, really, if you care to compare, and be weirdly unoriginal and rather boring (out of all honesty), then "there's nothing new to ever create ever again".
same "attitude" as i've heard people have w/ music. yes, i know there's a LOT of redundancy in music, especially the "commercial crap" they're putting out, HOWEVER...
to discount the ART as a WHOLE is completely missing the point.
i mean, really, you can dream up all kinds of bullshit, such as:
"the Anti-Venom white suit is a COMPLETE RIPOFF of Moon Knight!!!"
...just because it's the same color.
c'mooooon, people. why do you have to toss shit all over your OWN entertainment?!?! that's literally all that is to me.
Moon Knight's costume normally doesn't have the body armor detail and texture shown in the posted pic. It showed up for the first several issues of the series "Vengeance of Moon Knight", which debuted soon after 'The Dark Knight' debuted. It is clearly taken from the Nolan Bat-Armor. If you're unable to see this, then there's no point in arguing about it.
The artist cleary was inspired by The Dark Knight and used the bat-bodyarmor as reference when drawing this incarnation of Moon Knight. It goes way beyond mere color... contrast and compare the design elements.
Making judgemental statements about that act (plagerism, etc) is another issue and debate entirely. But there's no mistaking this Moon Knight's armor as lifted from Nolan Batman.
oh, and the artist is Jerome Opena. He does the first arc of Vengeance of Moon Knight (the only issues of that series I collected), which is pretty sweet.
He also did some beautiful work on Uncanny X-Force ("Apocalypse Solution", "Dark Angel Saga", etc). He's become one of my favorite current artists!
