ART OF ALIEN: ISOLATION

Product Description:
The Art of ALIEN: ISOLATION is a high-end art book featuring over 300 images from the latest game in the critically and commercially acclaimed Alien franchise. Taking players back to the survival horror atmosphere of the first film, ALIEN: ISOLATION features Amanda Ripley as the hero trying to survive on a decommissioned space station. The Art of ALIEN: ISOLATION is the ultimate gallery of the eagerly anticipated game, featuring extensive concept and development art, and creator and artist commentary throughout.

If you haven't seen the game play previews go check em out - they are gorgeous! I just wish the main character wasn't Ellen Ripley's daughter. Must EVERYTHING be connected? The idea of Ripley's adult daughter encountering an alien while Ripley is in hypersleep post-'ALIEN' is one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard of. The God of Imagination weeps.

Anyway, this book might be pretty.

To be fair, she's not really battling an alien as much as she's trying to avoid it. This game is being made in the same vein as "Amnesia: The Dark Decent" and "Slender: The Eight Pages" where your character is not meant to engage the monsters onscreen.

While I do agree that using Amanda as the lead is a very questionable choice, I'm curious to see where they're going to go with it.

Ok, her ENCOUNTERING an alien is one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard of :)

With that said, I am intrigued by the non-aggressive game play. That's a cool idea and more akin to the first movie.

I think the look is nice, but I have to agree with Jim regarding it being Ripley's daughter !
