NECA PREDATORS
[ larger image ]
I'm not a huge enough fan of Predators to have a shelf full of figures... however, looking at this poster makes me want to buy some...
Big Red Predator
Lost Predator
Wasp Predator (just for the Alien Head on spear accessory)
Scout Predator
Elder Predator
Jungle Disguise Dutch
Thermal Vision Dutch

AMAZON DOUCHES
I don't understand why some people on Amazon.com price their shit crazy high. For example, this guy is selling his copies of 'Star Trek vs Legion of Superheroes' #5 (Allred variant cover) for fucking $1,025.00. That the eff, bro? The book can be found elsewhere for $5-10. So why the ridiculous markup? I've seen other similar massive markups on amazon and don't get it. But I know that I'll never buy anything from World's Most Expensive Comics and Toys, on principle alone.

TOTAL HEROES: AQUAMAN FIGURE
I like this AQUAMAN figure in the new toyline "TOTAL HEROES".
Here are some pics of other figures in the line....
UPDATE: Reader Eric Stettmeier posts a correction:
"The pic with Doomsday(s) is actually DCUC figures. The Doomsdays were the 'incentive' figures Matty used to threaten subscribers, but I don't think either will get made..."Thanks, Eric!
"MARVEL'S" "NEW" MIRACLEMAN
Marvel now owns the rights to MIRACLEMAN and is starting to reprint it issue-by-issue... with brand new recoloring.
Many fans are pissed off at this and want a reprinted version that holds true to the original comic. I can understand that, after all the book has been out of print for decades. So for many, this is the first time they are conveniently able to read the famous book... albeit with a new feel. But I can also understand why Marvel is recoloring it. Personally I'm cool with it as I already own the original individual issues and the out-of-print trades. For me, this is akin to getting a old movie on blu ray... it looks different, but its pretty.... and I think this new recoloring is very pretty. It stays true to the original line work, and even enhances it. It does make this tale feel more "modern", so I'm interested in rereading this classic in a new way.
But I won't be buying the individual issues... primarily because when I picked up #1 in the store, it had a price tag of $6.00. Fuck that - too pricey for a monthly pick-up. If anything, I'll ask Santa for the recolored Hardcovers or Omnibus, should they ever make one.
There are 3 variant covers to Marvel's 'Miracleman' that I want.....
So the writing credit in the Marvel reprint is by "The Original Writer", instead of "Alan Moore". Interesting...
[ Left = Original / Right = Recoloring ]

[ Opena varian]
[ Yu varian]
[ Art Adams variant ]
[ Jim Cheung variant ]
HOWEVER, of the few variants I've seen, they are going for about $25 each. I'm not spending $25 on a comic made after 1982. Let alone for a story I already own in individual issues and trade paperbacks.
Oh, one more thing....
So the writing credit in the Marvel reprint is by "The Original Writer", instead of "Alan Moore". Interesting...

VADER AND SON/LITTLE PRINCESS STATUES
Check out these statues based on the really cute and funny books "VADER AND SON/LITTLE PRINCESS". I want the Daughter one for Father's Day (*hint hing Mrs Smash!*)
I have a friend who has twins (boy and girl) and should pick these up. That's right, MIMS, I'm referring to you!
UPDATE: Wait... my kids aren't old enough to know Star Wars yet, therefore would know the "I am your Father" and "Twins Reveal" before actually watching the movies. I guess I'll have to buy, then keep in a hidden storage area until after they've seen the movies....

BATMAN BLACK & WHITE STATUE: JAE LEE
The latest Batman Black and White statue if based on JAE LEE'S ART. I'm a big fan of Jae Lee, especially his earlier work in the 90s... and I haven't decided yet if I like this statue or not... alteast enough to purchase. I dig the arms and the cape, but he feels a bit too skinny and I hate how Jae Lee always rehashes his "looking up" head. But then again, would it BE a Jae Lee statue if he wasn't looking up? It would be like a Greg Land statue without a porno face, or a Rob Liefeld statue with feet.

GALVATRON & ALIEN
Fuck yeah! Just before Christmas, LOUIS BERNAL drew the above kickass drawings and then sent them to me!!! Merry Christmas, Jimmy!
Dude, thank you so much!!! And I apologize for getting around to posting these NOW, instead of a month ago.
Now to get these matted and framed....
ALIENS FIRST
I've seen ALIENS well over 100 times (over 200?)... its my favorite movie... well I was watching the blu ray the other night and noticed something I don't think I ever noticed before... when the marines enter the Hive, behind Hudson is a colonist cocooned to the rafter.
Did I never notice that before?? Is it the clarity of the blu ray what allows me to finally see what it is?? Or did I notic before, but my brain is getting old and forgetful (and lets face it, has had its fair share of abuse over the years)??

PANEL OF THE DAY: APOCALYPSE POINTERS
From Jonothan Hickman's "GOD IS DEAD" comic from Avatar Press. The gist of the series: Old Gods from various pantheons return to earth and it goes all downhill from there! Its been pretty sweet so far... about 5 issues in at the time of this posting. I'd love to see it made into movie.
