DARTH CLINT

I started this back in July 2011... but then work got crazy and I never returned to it.... until now!

The idea stemmed from me thinking I was never happy with how Old Anakin looked in "Return of the Jedi" when Luke removes Vader's helmet. I was expecting an older, weathered, war-horse, full of GRIT. Instead we got Uncle Fester without his dentures.

In trying to surmise a proper verbal-vision of the type of person I would have preferred in the role, the first thing I thought was, "Unforgiven Clint Eastwood... but not Clint Eastwood". But the image was birthed and so for giggles I began making DARTH CLINT. I orginally had him with some choppy silver hair, but then the thought of keeping the bald head made me laugh.

I'm now thinking of doing additional Darth So-and-So's and make it a series. Suggestions welcome.

Reminds me, when I was a kid and saw Vader the first time, I strangely thought he was an alien / not human because of the weird makeup.

My child brain was weird back then. Like I thought Yoda was a 900 year old human, just wrinked and shrunk over time, because of his line to Luke about "look this good you will?" And when I saw the Vulcan salute, I thought it was because their race somehow became more human, and it was meant to remind them of their former bodies which had three fingers.

The next time I tell kids to get off my lawn, this image will be in my mind.
