DC CHODES CANCEL 'HELLBLAZER'

After 25 years and 300 awesome issues, DC has announced they are cancelling the long-running, Vertigo Flagship book "HELLBLAZER". They will then reboot the title as "Constantine", which will star the younger newly rebooted, New 52 character that co-stars in "Justice League Dark" and will be able to interact with the superheroes.

Why DC feels they cannot have both versions of John Constantine is beyond me. Marvel has been successful having a Punisher running around in the Marvel Universe shooting at Spider-Man AND having a grittier Rated-R version in their MAX line.

John Constantine has escaped the Devil's damnation several times, but unfortunately could not escape Dan DiDio.

*For those keeping track, Dan DiDio also ended Action Comics after 904 issues (started in 1938!) and Detective Comics after 881 issues (Batman debuted in 1939, with #27).
