At the SDCC Marvel had the INFINITY GAUNTLET out on display as a PROP FROM THE UPCOMING THOR MOVIE. Interesting... mayhaps Loki doth wield?

JACK KIRBY'S DEPICTION OF THE CHRISTIAN GOD

I always found it interesting that of the very few pieces of his own work that Jack Kirby displayed in his home, three of them were his visual interpretations of God. It is fascinating to see a man who spent so much of his life depicting space gods and New Gods making an attempt to convey an image of his interpretation of God God. In many ways these look like classic Kirby, but there’s something extra cool about knowing that these were some of his works which he personally cherished the most.

Sweet. I would LOVE to have some original KIRBY art like these... although if I had a choice, I'd much prefer some GALACTUS, DARKSEID/NEW GODS or ASGARD stuff. Heck, I don't even need originals.. just big mural reproductions of his pencils. Is there anything better than some Jack Kirby Celestial/Cosmic stuff? I say thee Nay.

ARCHANGEL - DEATH VARIANT FIGURE

For my birthday this year I got the regular edition of ARCHANGEL from the "Marvel Universe" figure line. It's sooooo freakin' sweet. I just learned that there's a variant version out there which has Warren sporting the killer looking DEATH helmet! Oh baby baby!! I seriously need to own this figure. But upon a quick online inquiry, it appears I'll have to shell out some cash. CURSES!!

ALIEN ANTHOLOGY BLU RAY PT 2

Hey, so FOX has released pics of their upcoming ALIEN ANTHOLOGY BLU RAY SET. I had posted before on my displeasure with their packaging (here) so logic dictates FOX reads JimSmash and made the appropriate changes just for me. There's simply no other possible explanation.

Anyway, the Alien on the Egg is no longer the shitty Resurrection Version, but is now the Warrior Version from ALIENS, my favorite! The egg itself still remains the Resurrection Egg, tho (sigh). I had said before I was going to skip buying the big ole package deal cause I didn't like the Alien sculpt... but now, I may have to buy it. Cause ya know, I'm a big ole dork.

Quick side note: What's with the weird artwork inside?

BONUS: FOX will have at the San Diego Comic Con a life-size replica of the NOSTROMO "Hibernation Chambers". You'll be able to get in them and have your picture taken, too! Below is concept image of what it will look like, but there will only 4 pods. I plan on wearing my Ripley Underwear in one of them for a sweet JimSmash Bumper Pic.
