OLDER STAR WARS EXPANDED UNIV CHARACTERS

Here's some book cover art from the STAR WARS EXPANDED UNIVERSE. I've never been a fan of the EU stuff, but a few can be fun "fan fiction", if you will... especially those stories that are set far enough away from the Original Trilogy timeframe. By the way, the Prequels apply to this line of thinking - just think of the movies as horrible adaptations to 3 fan fiction novels set roughly 17-19 years before "A New Hope"...see, the prequel era novels are actually much better than the prequel movies.

Anyway, the above 3 pics are from the "DARK NEST TRILOGY", which takes place after the big ole "NEW JEDI ODER" series. This era of stories is set approximately 35-36 years AFTER "Return of the Jedi".... which makes the characters roughly in their mid-50s (Luke/Leia) and late-50s/early-60s (Han). They age pretty well, eh?

And what the hell are those little blue creatures in the last one? They look like blue miniature KYMELLIAN

*(10-points for anyone who knows what a Kymellian is without looking it up).

Here's a pic from the Dark Horse comic
"STAR WAR LEGACY", set 137 after "Jedi"
..and another bonus pic set in the Original Trilogy era.
(This one's for JimSmash reader "Melchy", who loves female Imperial Officers)

Ha! I was going to guess they were those little shits who summon the Grizgnak in Galaxy Quest.
