DEATH OF A METAL GOD: RONNIE JAMES DIO

I awoke Sunday morning to the sad sad news that our beloved Metal Wizard RONNIE JAMES DIO passed away. He had been battling Stomach Cancer for the past year.

His wife Wendy Dio wrote on his site, "Today my heart is broken. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private goodbyes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us ... Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever."
