SUPERDOUCHEBAG

Behold the new cover to Wizard Magazine. As you can see, it's spotlighting the upcoming atrocity that is SUPERMAN RETURNS. Jesus Christ, will you look at that picture?!! Seriously, click on it, enlarge it, and take a good hard look at those two douchebags. Please.

Does that look like SUPERMAN to you? And Lois looks like a kid playing dress-up in her mother's clothes. At best, they look like two kids dressed up for a Halloween party. I am simply unable to properly express my boiling hatred and disgust for this movie. Why am I not surprised? This is by Bryan Singer. The same guy who cast Halle Berry as Storm, made Cyclops into a lame pussy and cast a 6'3" actor to portray Wolverine who is supposed to be 5'3"
- hence the codename, dickhead.

Argh!!!
JIMSMASH!!!!!!!!

Thank you. I've been trying to tell you all this ever since you showed us pics of the new superman. I'm not impressed AT ALL.

No shit. I've been bitching about this new movie and its asinine casting since Day 1. I can't believe people are stoked for this movie. I hope it BOMBS and Singer is banned from making superhero movies. Opening night, I shall be watching the Christopher Reeve's version at home. Fuck seeing this in the theater and giving them money.

I don't like the costume changes from the original, and I do think he's too young, especially since it's supposed to take place a year after Superman II. But people who've seen bits have said he sounds a lot like Reeve's Superman. Just keep in mind that most people are not us - they don't know how old Superman is or that his "S" should be larger and RED, so the general public might actually love the movie, and then some of them will stop at a comic book store and pick up some Superman comics. Hollywood doesn't make these movies for us comic geeks, they make them for themselves and the general public.

But picking on Hugh Jackman Wolverine, that's going TOO FAR Jim, WAY too far.

I do agree, Lisa, that if the movie brings people into comic shops then it is a great thing.

Man,just imagine if they made these comic-to-films as great as all us comic dorks KNOW they could be?! The potential is there for these films to be on par with The Lord of the Rings, (original) Star Wars and Matrix 1. They SHOULD be.

They have DECADES of material to draw from. The scripts are half-way written already with so many stories already in comic book form. But they always stray from what works and make them super dumb. There's a reason why Superman is still around after 60+years...why change it then?

Grrrrrrrr....blood pressure....rising......

man, that movie is going to S-U-C-K.
and I read it takes place TEN years after Superman2, so the casting is even more dumb. we shall see, i guess.
