It looks like HUGO WEAVING has been cast as the voice of MEGATRON in Bay's upcoming live-action take of TRANSFORMERS. I'm disappointed they didn't cast the original voice, FRANK WELKER - His voice IS Megatron!! They cast the original OPTIMUS PRIME voice, Peter Cullen, so why not Welker? Hearing those two going at it again would have been AWESOME!!! However, that being said, I'm confident Hugo will do an outstanding job. From Matrix to LOTR to V For Vendetta (which was just voice work), he's a good actor with great voice work. I look forward to hearing what his take sounds like. So in the end, good casting, but as a geek,...wait for it.... JIMSMASH!!!!!(source)
