SEMI-RETURN OF THE GOOD BEAST
Thank you RENATO GUEDES, guest artist on 'Secret Avengers' #26, for drawing BEAST as he used to look - how he should be - before Grant Morrison & Frank Quitely turned him into The Cowardly Lion from 'Wizard of Oz'. While I believe this is merely a case of "artist's perogative", and Cat-Beast will probably return in #27, I will take what I can get!

MAN-THING OMNIBUS
Sweet, we're getting a MAN-THING Omnibus in July!* (Pic above is the ARIEL OLIVETTI & FRANK BRUNNER cover).
It collects ASTONISHING TALES (1970) #12-13; FEAR #11-18, and material from #10 and #19; MAN-THING (1974) #1-22, GIANT-SIZE MAN-THING #1-3 and material from #4-5, INCREDIBLE HULK (1968) #197-198; MARVEL TEAM-UP (1972) #68; MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE #43; MAN-THING (1979) #1-11; DR. STRANGE (1974) #41; and material from SAVAGE TALES (1971) #1, MONSTERS UNLEASHED #5 and #8-9, and RAMPAGING HULK (1977) #7.
Man, I wish this thing also included the story from Marvel Comics Presents #1-12 (1988) by Steve Gerber-(w), Tom Sutton-(p/i) and Petra Scotese-(c). I recall that story having some funky cool artwork!

AT-AT TIMEMACHINE
AT-AT Time Machine! YES!Unfortunately this is but a pipedream, since an AT-AT's top speed is approx 37mph (60kph), which is not even close to the needed 88mph to achieve Time Travel using Doc Brown's technology*. Nonetheless, a nerd can dream....

And Kudos to SevenHundred for giving us the AT-AT Time Machine - (This is the first I've ever seen/heard of the concept).

**Yes it has Mr Fusion. However, Mr Fusion only powers the time circuits and the flux capacitor, but the internal combustion engine runs on ordinary gasoline; it always has. The combustion engine is what gets it up to the proper speed, hence the reason in the Old West they needed a way to get the delorean up to 88 without gas.

THE NEW 'GLORY' IS METAL
Last night I read 'GLORY' #25, the latest issue of the recently relaunched title. Holy crap, this book is crazy! If you're not reading it, you should. Start with the relaunch issue; #23. You do not need to know anything about the character or stories before... merely she is the Extreme Universe's "Wonder Woman" of sorts.If you like the relaunched 'Prophet', 70s Heavy Metal Magazine & animated movie, Matt Wagner's [Future] Grendel stuff and radical space barbarian shit - then you'll dig this.
*issue 23 isn't stellar, but sets everything up... issues 24 & 25 are killer!
