35 YEARS AGO TODAY, BLACK SABBATH RELEASED 'TYR'

'TYR' (pronounced like "Tier") is Black Sabbath's 15th studio album. It's also the first Sabbath album I bought with my own money (on cassette, purchased at Sam Goody!). Why this one? Well, I already "had" the other Sabbath albums via my brother's vinyl collection. 

'Tyr' is the 3rd album with singer Tony Martin, who's voice sounds like it's made for 80s Montage Music. If you want to check out the "Tony Martin Era Black Sabbath", I would suggest listening to their first album with him; 'The Eternal Idol' or 'Cross Purposes'. While I can enjoy this era of Sabbath, it's a far cry from the glory days with Ozzy and Dio.
