LUTHOR'S NIGHTMARE
via dailymail:
Is it a bird? Is it a plan? No, it's 867 people dressed as Superman.
Fans came together to smash the world record for the most people dressed as the comic book hero in one place.
Around 1,200 people wore Superman costume's to the Kendal Calling festival in the Lake District, but only 867 were present for the Guinness World Record official count.
However, the result soundly beat the previous record of 556 people.

COOL X-POSTERS
I could give a shit about another Singer X-Men movie, but these teasers posters are pretty neat. I love the Magneto one. If only they had cast Terrence Stamp as Magneto back-when, that poster would be double the cool!
'GAMMA' ONESHOT IS OUT TODAY
Aw yeah! I just got back from the comic shop with the GAMMA oneshot in hand! This collects the entire story that was previously published in Dark Horse Presents #18-20.
Now to get Ulises Farinas to sign it!

DEATH MASK ARCHANGEL BY JASON GARRETT
Last December, Jason Garrett did a sweet X-Factor doodle (HERE). I dug it so much I requested a solo Archangel...which he did and I LOVE! I'm going to take it somewhere special, print it out on some killer paper (maybe even water color paper?) and frame. This era of Archangel is one of my all-time favorite comic book characters! Thanks again, Jason!!!

JOHN TATARELLI JR ROCKS MONSTER BASH
This past weekend, John Tatarelli Jr kicked ass at Monster Bash. Here's his report:
Monster Bash was a lot of fun this year. It's always fun to do some make ups with my friend Jesse Melchior from Reelmagik. This year I got to do all the sculpts (except the Frankenstein on the bottom, one of Jesse's sculpts from 2 years ago. This was Todd's second year in the make up). I always wanted to do a Phantom sculpt (what made it really cool was getting to apply it to Ron Chaney, Great Grandson of the original Phantom Lon Chaney). Herman and Grandpa Munster were really fun to work on, Tom and Ted really hammed it up. Leonard Hayhurst really had fun with the Hunchback make up (he really sold the schlocky fun of the sculpt).
Mary Bastian and Dale helped with taking off the make ups while me and Jesse churned out the next one. It was also fun to get away for a night and check out Monroeville Mall (setting for Dawn of the Dead), something me and Mary have been wanting to do for years.
The real treat for me was getting to meet Daniel Horne again. I showed him some of my work and he actually purchased the Herman Munster appliance I sculpted for the show. It was a huge honor to have him compliment sculpt!!!! He was very nice and chatted with me and Mary for bit. (He even invited us to come over some time and check out his studio!!!!!!!!)
To be honest I was pretty nervous about this years Bash but it ended up being a blast. Great vacation this year with Mary and friends!!!!!!
