ORLANDO, Fla. (May 23, 2013) - Woo Hoo! Springfield, hometown to America’s favorite animated family, The Simpsons, comes to life at Universal Orlando Resort this summer.

The expansive, new area within Universal Studios will be anchored by the mega-attraction, The Simpsons Ride, and will allow guests to enter the world of The Simpsons like never before. It will be the only place in the world where guests can walk the streets of Springfield. It will include a brand-new outdoor attraction, places and foods pulled right from the show and two new Simpsons characters who will make their debut with the new area – Krusty the Clown and Sideshow Bob.

And yes – there will be Duff Beer, brewed exclusively for Universal Orlando.

For the first time ever – anywhere – fans will be able to walk down Fast Food Boulevard and visit the places that helped Springfield stake its claim as “Shelbyville by the Sea.” They will be able to grab a Krusty-certified meat sandwich at Krusty Burger, snatch the catch of the day at the Frying Dutchman, get a slice at Luigi’s Pizza, go nuts for donuts at Lard Lad, enjoy a “Taco Fresho” with Bumblebee Man and imbibe at Moe’s Tavern.

The new attraction – called Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl – will take “foolish humans” on an intergalactic spin designed to send them into orbit.

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY, RETURN OF THE JEDI

Today is the 30th Anniversary of 'RETURN OF THE JEDI'. I was just shy of 8yrs old when 'Return of the Jedi' hit theaters, and it blew my mind. At the time it was, by far, the best thing to ever be created.

As I grew older, the glaring flaws began to become apparent, but I still love the movie. The concept designs and The Emperor are still outstanding. Some of my best childhood memories are of that time; the movie, toys, trading cards, magazines, etc. When I watch 'Return of the Jedi' tonight (Theatrical version) I put on my kid-memory-goggles and giggle like a nerd on a biker scout.

Happy 30th Anniversary, 'Return of the Jedi'!

Fuck yeah, dude! Before the he was turned into a cartoon character and parody of himself, JOHN RAMBO was a great character in one of my all-time favorite movies, "FIRST BLOOD". One of my favorite scenes of the movie is when he's holed up in the mine, surviving. Well NECA has made a figure based on it! I wish the sculpt and paint job was a little better, but I'll still pick this one up with a smile. Man, I've wanted this figure since I was a little kid!

There's a new cartoon a-coming and its called "HULK and the AGENTS OF S.M.A.S.H.", starring a relatively intelligent Hulk, She-Hulk (Bruce Banner's hulked out cousin), Red Hulk (hulked out General Ross), Skaar (Hulk's son), and A-Bomb (hulked out Rick Jones). My god, where are the Hulk Dogs?! Oh wait, nevermind - they have a giant red pet T-Rex.  

"The Agents of S.M.A.S.H. must learn to balance Hulk-sized action with everyday family-sized problems."

Yep, its a reality show with all the hulks living in the same house as an "eccentric family", complete with confessionals and characters explaining things to the camera/audience.

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. - EXTENDED TRAILER

I want this to be good. I love Clark Gregg, and Joss Whedon is great. But based on this extended trailer, it feels like CSI-level quality (which is not a good thing). It's on ABC, so there ya go. I'll definitely give it a chance, though. And where is Maria Hill? Isn't she portrayed by a TV actress anyway? I also need to see more S.H.I.E.L.D. uniforms, spy gadgets and a hover car. Excelsior!
