"FANBOY" BECOMES AN OFFICIAL WORD

That's right - "FANBOY" is now in the Merriam-Webster dictionary as an official word in the English language!

For those non-comic peeps, here's the definition:
"A boy who is an enthusiastic devotee (as of comics or movies)"

hmm, kinda boring definition. And only includes male fans??
Anyway, its official now.

I am a little sad that Webster left me out of that definition. Doesn't it seem like there should be some clarification like "enthusiastic devotee of science fiction or fantasy related media".

Otherwise boys who love that Hannah Montana movie could claim the title of fanboy and that.... just doesn't seem right.
