Rumors have been running around for weeks, but yesterday Variety has confirmed that CHRISTIAN BALE will be the new JOHN CONNOR in TERMINATOR 4: SALVATION: THE FUTURE BEGINS, the first in a new trilogy. Bale has been a favorite of mine since his early days of EMPIRE OF THE SUN, and I think he makes a fantastic John Connor! Unfortunately, T4 is being helmed by McG of the Charlie's Angels flicks, so expect a really shitty movie full of soul-less popcorn amusement park ride fun. Now, Bale in a JAMES CAMERON Terminator movie... now THAT would be fucking awesome. But alas.... atleast we'll have Bale in there, so its not a total loss. Dig my T4 pic!

They should have missed out terminator 3 and done this one instead as sort of a prequel as what was going on in the future before the terminator got sent back! also john conner....dissapointment....well should have stuck with edward furlong and kept the cast to its original format, arnie wouldn't be needed in this one!!
still looking forward to it tho this is the battle i've wanted to see since being a kid, well better than lord of the rings and all these fantasy wars!! man Vs machine!! wicked!!
