NEW PRINTING OF THE 'ALIENS NOVELIZATION'
FOX is ALIEN anniversary crazy right now because its the, uh, 35th anniversary of 'ALIEN' - a celebratory mark if I've ever heard of one!
In part of their celebration, they've reprinted the novelizations to 'ALIEN', 'ALIENS' and even 'ALIEN3' by Alan Dean Foster. The 'Aliens' one sports the same image form the recent bluray release.
I find it somewhat odd they are reprinting these novelizations and wonder if there's a market for these reprints, outside of me and a few other fellow Alien obsessed whackos? I mean, most visits to a used bookstore tend to find several copies of ALIEN and ALIEN3....
Regardless, I plan on picking up ONE copy for the heck of it (whacko). But do not worry, this is no way impacts my dedication to INSANE MISSION, nor will it change what Insane Mission looks like.

MARC RIENZO'S TRAILER FOR 'STAR WARS: THE EXPANDED UNIVERSE'
From Marc Dominic Rienzo via Geeks Are Sexy:
Originally planned to be finished in 2007 for the Star Wars 30th Anniversary, this edit went uncompleted for years. Now with Episode VII coming out, it had seemed pointless to finish. But in honor of the great, late Don Lafontaine donlafontaine.com/ who provided an AMAZING voice over, I had to get this out there even though it’s a bit rough around the edges. I could not let “THE VOICE” go unheard. Many thanks to the creators of original fan film works who provided footage for this edit.
…and while I love the EU, I eagerly look forward to EPVII. I think they have the best of the best in place on it.
ZELDA SINGER
"Hi everyone! This is my take on the beautiful theme, "Ballad of the Goddess" from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. At first I was going to do a straight up piano cover, but then I started adding vocals... And then I added new vocal melodies, and new immitation Hylian lyrics... And now it's more of a remix than a cover, so I called it "Meet me above the Clouds." Anyways, I really hope you enjoy it ^__^ "
Vocals/Piano/Arrangement: Laura Shigihara

WONDER WOMAN'S INVISIBLE JET
Ha! I love the idea that she's never actually had an invisible jet, but has been messing with people.

ALIEN KNUCKLE DUSTER RING
via dudeiwantthat:
A xenomorph is a pretty good choice for a knuckle duster topper I think. This particular xenomorph knuckle duster has the added bonus of folding into itself such that a wearer can also sport it as a less confrontational ring. Handmade to order by Kilroy of Kilroy's Attic, the stylized transformer materializes from pressure-cast resin infused with a stainless steel powder coating and 30 strands of 20-lb test line interwoven at each hinge. Kilroy deems the ring a "powerful piece of alien tech."* thanks, Mike Cruickshank!
The xenomorph head detaches to unfold the ring, and then reaffixes to lock its four-finger knuckle duster in place; it sits inside the palm in that formation. Fully unfurled, the piece measures 5-1/4" long x 2" tall. The xenomorph itself is 1-5/8" tall x 2" long x 3/4" wide. Ring sizes begin at 6 and go up to 11.25.

THE GREEN LAMA
Did you know your fellow JimSmash Reader ADAM LANCE GARCIA is a badass author?! He's been winning awards for his GREEN LAMA novels, which continue the tales of the classic 1940s Pulp Hero!
I asked Adam to tell me more about the Green Lama, and here's what he enthusiastically had to say:
"The Green Lama is the worlds’ first Buddhist pulp hero created by Kendell Foster Crossen in 1940 for the Double Detective magazine, and I think it’s fair to say he’s one of the most unique characters in the history of pulp and comics. The stories we’re telling at Moonstone, are a direct continuation—taking place before, between, or after—the original fourteen pulp stories, and are the only ones fully licensed and approved by the Crossen Estate, making these the only truly canon Green Lama tales out there. These tales dig deeper into the Lama’s supernatural abilities and explore the shadows of the pulp world. More than anything, we approach Dumont as a flawed, three-dimensional character set against the darkness. If you’re a fan of the original stories you can read these books as the literal next step in this character’s journey, but if you’re new the character—or even more so, not a fan of pulp or superheroes—these books are written with you in mind."Awesome, Adam!
Here is a rundown of current and near-future Green Lama releases by Adam:

TUESDAY COSPLAY: DARTH MAULA
via GeekXGirls:
Model/cosplayer Laurie Foster looks amazing in her female version of Darth Maul from Star Wars. Here's what she said about it...
"Darth Maul is the coolest thing about the later Star Wars trilogy. So I thought I would make a custom version of him! I made the vambraces with Worbla and fashioned the rest out of a bodysuit and some fabric. The facepaint is designed and painted by me (it's different from Maul's and more feminine)."
