Mark Millar and original series co-creator Steve McNiven are teaming up for a new series: Nemesis: Forever. The five-issue series launches into comic shops on August 27th, with artist Matteo Scalera on art, Giovanna Niro on colors, and Clem Robins lettering.
Fans of the ultra-violent, ultra-witty Nemesis won’t have to wait long for the next foray into Mark Millar and original series co-creator Steve McNiven’s cliché-bending criminal mastermind in new series, Nemesis: Forever. Artist Matteo Scalera (The Ambassadors) joins Millar, along with colorist Giovanna Niro (The Magic Order Volume 5) and letterer Clem Robins (Huck: Big Bad World) for the five-part miniseries featuring covers by Scalera for each issue and a black and white variant, and a Jae Lee-illustrated variant cover for issue #1. Sink your weapons into this series starting August 2025.
In Nemesis Forever:
Nemesis is the world’s most dangerous man; now, he’s made himself one of the richest. No longer content just to terrorize the forces of law and order, his new plan is to wreak havoc on his enemies, and seize control of the world itself, and enslave humanity with super-technology.Nemesis: Forever #1 (of 5) arrives in comic shops on August 27, 2025.
I... enjoyed the first Nemesis series, primarily for the McNiven art. Millar's overthetop writing can be tiring, especially when it reads like he's trying to either ape other writers like Grant Morrison or Garth Ennis, and/or write to 12 yr olds who will go, "Cooool, he's like a psychopath Batman that kills!" (how original). But hey, to each their own, and like I said - I did enjoy the first series.
I haven't read the 2nd series.
