Metallica's new album titled 72 Seasons is set to be released on April 14, 2023.
I've loved about half of the songs in their previous 4 outings (excluding 'St Anger', which was garbage). "Hard Wired... To Self Destruct" has a handful of amazing songs.
Sure, I miss the old Thrash Days of Metallica, but their Hard Rock/Metal material is enjoyable on its own. Even some of their Load/Re-Load stuff is decent in that regard.
