I was flipping through THUNDER AGENTS #3 (1984), with art by the legendary Dave Cockrum, and realized the similarities of TA Villain IRON MAIDEN and X-Force villain STRYFE.
Stryfe was created by Rob Liefeld in 1990, who is known for.... "homaging"... others' previous works. I wonder if Thunder Agents' Iron Maiden was the inspiration for Stryfe? A question to ask at the next con encounter!
I have a soft spot for Stryfe. He's just so shiny and 90s Rad!

Oh god... yet another Leifeld "homage" theft has been exposed? Why am I not shocked...
I can't tell if that's a dig at me or Liefeld.

I was merely pointing out the similarities and wondering if Liefeld was inspired by Iron Maiden, or if it was simply a coincidence.
