The Ethereal Maruader from D&D.Ha, interesting. Thanks, Jason!
Nasty predator that flicks in and out of existence at will, and is equipped to bite your face off. Ouch. To make things even more freaky, they emit a high-pitched whine that changes in pitch when they get hurt.
Interesting side note: the ethereal marauder didn't start out the way it looks now. Here's the original concept art for it, back when it was called "The Dropper."
If it "phases" in and out in the Star Trek film I will throw my drink at the screen.
later,
Jason
I guess the D&D folks are TREMORS 2 fans.... And as JimSmash Reader Jason informs us, "Tremors 2 was in 1996, these critters didn't show up until 3rd edition monster manual, 2000."

i say, drop it, and replace chris pine with will shatner, and there you have the best star trek movie ever!
I think it's the other way round.
Tremors 2 was in 96,
these critters didn't show up until 3rd edition monster manual, 2000.
