MONSTER FIGURES

Anyone else remember these toys? I had DRACULA and CREATURE FROM BLACK LAGOON. They were very similar to the STAR WARS figures of the time (early 80s), and they ruled. Oh, I also had the PHANTOM of the OPERA, but he was lame. I pretended he was another vampire to fight Dracula. He always lost. Why? Because no one beats Dracula, baby. Sadly, I did not have any of the playsets. Dig that old skool catalog ad! Man, I lived for the XMas edition SEARS and JCPENNY catalogs! The Toy sections were the best! Anyway, Monster figures....

I tried re-watching the cartoon last year and it does not hold up at all. It was sooooooooo bad. It physically hurt to watch it.

I had them all! But not that playset, man we would have really dug each other growing up... but at least we have now... YEAH! For me, exact same story line... Draco was the top, second wolfman... I didn't know what to do with "Creature" but his webbed hands were kinda sharp... so he was dangerous too... hahahahaha

AAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!! I haven't seen that thing in many many many years.
I had all the figures and the playset. They may have been the only toys I loved more than my Star Wars figures.
I believe the skin on the Frankenstein and Dracula glowed in the dark too.
I still have my Dracula somewhere. I'm so busting him out tonight.

I believe they were produced by Remco and called "Universal Monsters Mini-Monsters", first produced in 1979. But I recall buying them in the early 80s, so they must have stayed around for several years. You can find them on ebay.
