ADVENTURE PEOPLE

Check em out, Ya'll! I arrived at work this morning to find a surprise at my desk; the "Ripley" figure & "Nostromo Escape Vessel" (Pic Fig #3) from Fisher Price's ADVENTURE PEOPLE!! (thanks, Maker!) Anyone remember these? They were sweet action figures before STAR WARS and GIJOE came on the scene and wiped them out. The SPACE ones ruled and I still have the CLAWTRON figure (Pic Fig #4) from when I was a wee little lad. Dig that "Mr Freeze" (Pic Fig #2)!!! And while the Space sets were awesome, the OUTDOOR ones were kicked ass, too, like the SCUBA, CAMPING, DIRT BIKING, & DARE DEVIL SPORTS VAN (just to name a few!). Anyway, now I have the "RIPLEY" one! No, its not officially Ripley, but it looks close enough! I'm a lucky lucky lucky star! Yay!

wow..
I had totally forgotten about those, and I had the Van, Jeep, Scuba set, actually I think I had all of them.
Used to run the Kayak's and Canoe peeps down the stream in my front yard, building dams around the 500lbs boulders we had in the stream/creek.. set up "doom ponds" with crayfish in them... awesome..
parachute was great too, it really worked, could throw the guys off the 2nd story deck..

i loved adventure people! the motorcycle would really haul ass with the side car attached. i used to roll that thing down my driveway at breakneck speeds.

i remember they also had some crazy yellow jet car too.

that green translucent guy was one of their 'men from atlantis' series. hje was also available without the space suit(my favorite action figure).

yea, when I went back home and discovered all my old childhood toys had been sold on e-bay by my brother and his friend (very sore subject,..I owned probably 90% of all the Star Wars Toys, a crap load of GI-JOE's and transformers and various others). I was digging through what was left of my toy box, and low and behold ,..there it was burried under some trash. And the first thing I thought of was,.."Ripley made it!" she was still in her little one man escape pod and all. So of course I thought of you Jim....

so who were they from???

If I'm understanding your (Scott's) question right, the answer is: I got the single "Ripley" figure with escape pod from friend-o-mine, Maker. (The pics posted are from Online only)

You said they like magically appeared on you desk at work. But from where?

Who gave them to you... co-worker, wife, friend, mistress, boss, man-servant, smash reader, stalker, bob dole ... who?

Maker works with me, so he left them at my desk. :)
