This is old news, but I thought I'd post it anyway. . .
TURKISH STAR WARS! !
It was not uncommon for Turkish filmmakers to adapt American movies and in 1979, they "remade" Star Wars ("Dunyayi Kurtaran Adam"). I really can't properly describe this movie and do it justice. . . but it includes actual SW footage mixed in with new Turkish scenes....and NASA rockets. Many of the space battles are a guy sitting in front of a television screen that is playing Star Wars. Highlights include the music of Indiana Jones. . . tying boulders to one's legs & doing jumping jacks (Jedi Training!). . . and a cave of children being horrifically slaughtered by fake-fur beasts. More here.
