YET ANOTHER STAR WARS GAME

WizKids (HeroClix) announced today they are going to release a new collectable game called the Star Wars PocketModel trading card game (TCG), along the lines of their Pirates game. The Star Wars PocketModel TCG combines features from their classic TCGs with those of constructible strategy games (CSGs). The game has players using characters and action scenes from all 6 Star Wars movies on their cards to help control their fleets of PocketModel ships as they attempt to destroy each other’s objectives. The SW game will not require a starter set because each game pack will contain four to eight styrene constructible vehicle models, six game cards, two micro dice, assembly instructions and complete rules. Each pack is 5-bucks. Look for em in July, 2007!

AWESOME!! I'm surprized to hear this, with Wizards of the Coast holding the game license and all, but glad too. The Pirates game is one of my favorites, and Star Wars stuff of any kind is pretty much always popular. Hopefully they can make it into a game that's as fun to play as it is to collect.
