Two of Jim Henson's classic puppet fantasty movies are getting the Anniversary celebration treatment; LABYRINTH and THE DARK CRYSTAL!Holy crap, its been 25 years?!!! The Dark Crystal two-disc set will again feature an all-new digital transfer, along with footage recovered from Jim Henson's home, a new commentary by Conceptual Designer/Supervisor Brian Froud, and 50 minutes of all-new featurettes (including "Creatures and Creations", "Lifelike Illusion", and "Singular Vision and the Kingdom United").
The Labyrinth set features never-before-seen footage recovered from Jim Henson’s home in England, and 60 minutes of exclusive featurettes (including "Paper, Cloth and Creatures", and "Coming of Age") that include interviews with peeps like George Lucas and Brian Froud.
While I'll probably pass on the Labyrinth dvd, I'm forced to buy Dark Crystal simply because its awesome and one of my top 10 movies. I still remember seeing both in the theater, but Dark Crystal changed my life.
They both arrive on August 14th.
