Dude, where's my starship?
they are SOOOoooooooo dreamy........
Sorry to be on the dark side here, but I'm looking forward to the movie.
I'm looking forward to it, I'm just extremely worried based on what I've seen so far.
I want to die...
Uncle Miggsy is cautiously optimistic. Emphasis on the word cautiously, mind you. There’d better be some green alien chicks in it, though! ;)
There are the hot green alien chicks in this movie. Doria Baird plays one - look her up.
Like Jim's Title header, it appears they are at least TRYING to keep the movie within the realm(s) of classic Trek. Could be worse with a total re-envisioning of the franchise. Then again, like Lame said: "Muppet Babies"
well, like I said earlier, JJ was reported as saying " I'm not making a movie for Star Trek fans, I'm making a movie for movie fans..."- and all I can say is great. Slap the people in the face who, through a loyal following, kept this genre alive, and through sheer demand GAVE him the opportunity to make this movie. Way to go man. " Hey,..You like Chocolate right?? well try this,..it's not really chocolate, but it has the same name,....so that's good enough, right??"- This is starting to look more and more Like SUPERMAN RETURNS.-and except for the ONE plane scene, that movie blew on so many levels.
From the stills I've seen thus far, the new JJ Trek looks like a Must-See Prime-Time TV Event Movie. I don't believe JJ understands why Trek works and has endured for so long. Like with Lucas not understanding what made Star Wars cool in the first place.
Tsssss......Well... the special effects will be good, at least. Will it be worse or better if these young dudes try and emulate their predecessors' speech patterns and tendencies? I am so undecided right now, but I think it would certainly be funnier.Ah well, Simon Pegg is in it (WITH SPACE AND EXPLOSIONS), so it's not going to be a total waste of time.
