I just read that Marvel is cancelling SPIDER-GIRL... again. This is the... hmm, lost track... time Marvel has done so. In the past, when cancellation was announced, the title was able to stay afloat several times due to Fans' strong outcry. In 2006, Marvel even relaunched the book with a new #1. But alas, sales are apparently low (again) and cancellation has been announced for the book (again).

Its a shame, really. The book is fun and lighthearted and stars a strong, non-T&A female lead character (a rarity in comics). I really do hope Fans save this book again. Its been "the little book that could" for 11 years. Really sad to see it go. But 130 issues is a good run!

More on Spider-Girl.
