GREEN ARROW MOVIE (WITHOUT GREEN ARROW)

David Goyer (Blade movies, Batman Begins) is developing a script based on GREEN ARROW for Warner Brothers.
The film, titled Super Max, is a take on take on supervillain incarceration in the DCU. It revolves around a wrongly convicted Green Arrow who has been whisked away to the super max prison for out-of-control heroes and villains where he's now forced to face a number of inmates he put there.

“He’s Green Arrow for the first 10 minutes of the movie, and then he’s arrested and his secret identity is revealed,” Goyer tells Wizarduniverse.com. “They shave his goatee and they take his costume and send him to prison for life, and he has to escape. It’s like ‘Alcatraz,’ and he has to team up with, in some cases, some of the very same villains he is responsible for incarcerating in order to get out and clear his name. Of course, tons of people try to kill him while he’s in there. We’ve populated the prison with all sorts of B and C villains from the DC Universe. For the fans, there will be all sorts of characters the hardcore comic book junkies will know, but they’re all going to be there under their human names and no one is wearing a costume, but there will be a lot of characters with powers and things like that.”
Wait, so he's only GREEN ARROW for the first 10 minutes? WTF? Why even have him Green Arrow then? If you're going to make a GREEN ARROW movie, then make a fucking GREEN ARROW MOVIE. Seriously, this is ridiculous. As a comic story, fine (and its been done before). But to bring the character to the screen (and for the first time) and abandon everything that is the comic character.... this is absolutely asinine. Its like "Hey, we're going to do a Superman movie, but he doesn't wear the suit or have any powers!" The idea of the movie is interesting, just don't make it Green Arrow.

That's basically what I thought! A Green Arrow movie could be really cool - if it was about Green Arrow.
Take my survey on the movie!

I liked that idea better when it was printed iun the 80's Punisher mini series "Circle of Blood".
-and on a side note, would have made a great sequal to the currnt Punisher movie, if Directors and anyone in charge of making these films would actually do some research and stick t the source materia, so that they would give some semblance That they understand the characters they are making said movie about.
-but that's just wishfull thinking

That's sorta like Halle Berry's catwoman...the director said that in his version, Batman does not exist...
