CHRISTIAN BALE'S TIRADE

You can listen below to Christian Bale tearing into Director of Photography Shane Hurlbut, who apparently ruined as scene of Terminator 4 by walking onto the set. Bale screams and insults Hurlbut for 4minutes, and at one point sounds like he tries to get physical with him and then yells that he will bail from the movie unless Hurlbut is fired.

Somebody needs a nappy-poo.

Here's some alleged clarification & different view point:

I still say he was right to be angry, but had hoped Bale would have handled it more professionally- like he wants the DP to behave. 4-minutes is a long time to chew someone out publicly with the intensity he delivers. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Does anyone else find it ironic that in the blog post making fun of Christian Bale for overreacting, we have someone totally overreact and say things like "Fuck Bale - Fuck Batman 3 - Fuck Terminator 4"?

Truth is, you don't know what happened on set, so keep your opinions to yourself. The guy's a DP - why the hell is he walking around in the first place?

And if you've ever read Michael Cain's book on acting, you'd have a bit more understanding of why Bale was so set off.

dude,..I don't care, he had a meltdown. It was totaly unprofessional. You can try and rationalize it any way you want. He blew a fuse, and got his panties in a wad to the point he almost tried to start a fight. be a pro, and handle it like one. bc there will be atime when some one won't put up with that kind of shit and clock him.

I agree. While yes, Bale seemed justified in being upset, to go the extent he did in berating a coworker is unjustified and unprofessional no matter how you spin it.

I was attempting to be ironic and mocking Bale's tantrum.

(but apparently failed miserably)

That's what I get for posting quickly at work before my boss catches me JimSmashing.

And for leaving a comment for the first time.

Fair play Bale, this is obviously not the first time its happened and after holding back the first time Bale had obviously had enough. Good on Bale for actually respecting his craft enough to take this so seriously. Roles like American Psycho and The Machinist weren't just phoned in and it's good to know he doesn't see his part in these big bucks franchise juggernauts as anything less. The mans gone up in my estimations if anything.

Ahhh, it seems that while some upset at the worksite may be justified, he has also shown some indication of agressive behaviour with his own family of late. I think it's time we stop accepting this kind of behaviour from people because they are famous. I'm sorry but we all have stresses in life, and he, like all the rest of us, needs to either learn to control himself or face the consequences.

Bale's anger and frustration seems justified, but nothing excuses that 4-min long tirade of aggressive humilation. He speaks of being professional, yet is anything but during that clip.

Great actor, but appears to be kind of a douche.

Wow. At least 39 F-bombs in less than 4 minutes. I feel like I need a hug.

I will say that using the F-bomb for every noun, verb and adjective when you do Mad Libs is F'ing entertaining.

That rant was not.

again, he was right to be angry, but handle it professionally; a 2-minute rant.
